Veronika Wyper recorded the highest points total for a ladies player in WLGS history with a virtuoso display at Wyke Green golf club.
A devastating back nine performance of 25 points, in addition to a solid 16 on the front, saw her race clear of the chasing pack to finish on a remarkable 41 points, with the runners-up spot going to Margaret Palmer (33 points).
In the men's section, it was Reyan Majumder's moment in the sun after a haul of 38 points saw him pip Turin Mia (37 points) to top spot.
As is now a customary affair for WLGS events, our members took over the course for the day with a field of 36 golfers enjoying fast-running greens, tight fairways and tricky pin positions.
