A huge field of players took to the Richmond Park fairways as WLGS celebrated the contribution of it’s ever-increasing Ladies Section.
Unpredictable weather conditions didn‘t affect the scoring, with a number of players eclipsing their handicap.
A superb return of 39 points from Betty Yao saw her claim the first ever Ladies Day 1st prize.
The runner-up spot was claimed by captain Kristina Larsson (30) after a customary solid performance, and in third was Gina Farren (26). Bridget Derbyshire won nearest to the pin.
In the men’s , Steve Banks-Smith (43) shook off a spirited Asad Khan (41) to claim first prize by a margin of two points. In third was Rahat Majumder (39). Avtar Galsinh was nearest to the pin with Andy Morgan the longest drive winner.
